Ahh the joy of food. At Rancho Pescadero we are beyond fortunate. It is plainly – foodie heaven. You drive through basil and strawberry fields until they give way to the sand. And, there we are! Our slapping fresh fish comes out of the water just a few minutes away and is delivered daily. Our Garden Restaurant is surrounded by our own organic gardens. If you’ve not been to Pescadero and Todos Santos before then you may not know that the region is one of the largest producers of organic produce in Mexico. So, what we do not grow ourselves we can confidently source locally. We have found regional farms to procure our beef, lamb, chicken and pork from. It is a labor of love to bring to the Rancho responsibly grown, fresh items with which to create tasty, yummy delicious dishes and cocktails!
Executive Chef César Pita
Chef César Pita oversees all things culinary at Rancho Pescadero. Growing up in his grandparents’ restaurant, César’s knack for cultivating local flavors comes naturally as he spent his youth learning the culinary traditions of central Mexico.
Since those childhood days, César honed his skills in some of the world’s best restaurants, including the three-star Martín Berastegui Restaurant in Spain, Pujol in Mexico City with famed Chef Enrique Olvera, and at Geranium in Copenhagen where he explored the intimate, seasonal focus of Nordic culinary practice. He then brought his experience back to Mexico, and made Baja his home working at One&Only Palmilla and Esperanza, a luxury Auberge Resort before taking the helm at Garden.
Now at Rancho Pescadero, César brings his passion for fusing the best of Baja ingredients and authentic local flavors with a global twist, from farm-to-table organic cuisine at Garden, to creating special moments for a wedding celebration or a romantic dinner for two on the beach. Sound like perfection to us!
